What is the Mythical Platform?
The Mythical Platform is a full-service system for developers and publishers to build or integrate blockchain-based play-to-earn economies into their games, increasing engagement and unlocking new business and game models by making blockchain accessible and allowing players to become stakeholders in their favorite games.
The platform can be added to pre-existing game economies or built into the design of a new game from the ground up, and Mythical Games has built an industry-leading team of game and marketplace veterans to offer developers expert-level guidance as they go through ideation, design, architecture and implementation of the Mythical Platform.

Based in Sherman Oaks, California, Mythical Games on Wednesday announced plans to move its Kansas City office into a new local headquarters in the Power & Light District, the former Visit KC space at 1321 Baltimore Ave.
The 16,000-square-foot workspace will accommodate more than 100 employees, the venture-backed company said. With seven Kansas City based positions already open, the addition is expected to create a variety of opportunities for the Kansas City community.

“Gaming is a fast-growing and exciting sector in tech, enveloping several of the emerging trends in our industry like AR, VR, and in Mythical Games’ case, NFTs,” said Kara Lowe, CEO at the KC Tech Council.” It’s great news for Kansas City’s tech industry to have an innovative leader in this sector plant roots here. It’s also great news for Mythical Games, who will have a thriving, talented tech community waiting to welcome them.”
With more than 75 open positions throughout the company now, Mythical Games is in expansion mode, recently partnering with the NFL to introduce a new NFT-based video game titled “NFL Rivals.”
“What started as a shared belief in blockchain technology has grown into a widely successful business model, allowing Mythical Games to turn prototypes into reality,” the company said in a press release. “[Our] goal is to create world-class products that drive consumer adoption of distributed ledger technology through games.”

Over the past year, Mythical Games has spread its team globally with office locations in the United Kingdom, Korea and the United States. It moved a team into Plexpod Crossroads in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District in 2020.
“We’re thrilled to take the next step in our rapid growth as we expand our team and scale our operations in the heart of Kansas City,” said John Linden, co-founder and CEO of Mythical Games. “The Power & Light District is the perfect place to house our newest office location.”
The office on Baltimore Avenue sits just south of the Blade & Timber and Sinkers Lounge locations in the entertainment district, and blocks away from both the Live! Block and downtown business district.
Kansas City has a more concentrated tech industry — more workers per capita — than many of our surrounding cities; St. Louis, Indianapolis and Nashville among them, noted Lowe at the KC Tech Council.
“Density creates momentum, and it’s exciting to plant roots and attract talent to a place where they will be surrounded by a lot of other bright tech workers,” she said. “Additionally, any talent attraction strategy should also include growing talent from within.
“Our tech apprenticeship program, Apprenti, happens to include a specific apprenticeship track for gaming developers. We’re excited to offer that resource to Mythical Games and other companies looking for talent in that sector of the industry.”
