Chef Dwight Tiller wants to disrupt the macaroni market; up first: he has the Muncheez

A new concept from a popular food truck-turned-food hall chef is more than just a cheesy transition between menus, Dwight Tiller said, it’s an evolution of his journey to bring higher quality and innovation to a culinary category often coated with forgettable flavors.
Muncheez — a bold pivot from Tiller’s signature nachos to Kansas City’s mac-and-cheese and wing scene — debuted inside Parlor KC in November. It takes the spot in the food hall previously filled by his Deez Nachos concept (a staple of the space for the past year).

“My last name in Hebrew means ‘to disrupt the earth,’” said Tiller, “And Muncheez is here to disrupt the Deluxe Wing and Macaroni Market.”
His plan: blend Deez Nachos’ playful approach to familiar dishes with his passion for indulgent, creative comfort food.
Tiller teased such dishes as the Sweet Honey Serrano Mac and the Oreo Munchee Cake — big flavors and unexpected twists, he said.
“Come hungry and ready to explore comfort food on a whole new level,” he added, emphasizing that enthusiasm for the concept change from the team at Parlor KC was a key catalyst in the evolution of his creative journey.
Parlor — which also boast such food options as Elephant Wings, Ladybird Taqueria, Mother Clucker, Slideshow Sliders, Sido’s, and Una Mas; along with two high-end craft cocktail bars — called Muncheez a go-to destination for anyone looking to satisfy their cravings in Kansas City.
