Organizers of Kansas City’s largest multi-day event series for entrepreneurs have opened registration for the Nov. 13-19 sessions, with a three-day, in-person base camp planned for Plexpod Westport at Park 39.

“Global Entrepreneurship Week-Kansas City is the best way for the KC metro’s doers, dreamers and makers to gain new skills, make key connections and move their business or business idea forward,” said Michael Carmona, senior director for KCSourceLink, which has organized GEWKC since 2008.

“This is the best way to tap into KC’s huge entrepreneur community, which also features 230-plus support organizations and entrepreneurship experts who can bolster your business and inspire you to reach that next level, clear those hurdles and be great,” he continued. “There’s something for everyone, no matter if you’re starting a side-hustle or looking to scale your operations.”

To attend for free, attendees must sign up or log in to the online Sched platform at gewkc.com and build their agenda from more than 100 sessions created by community experts into three tracks for those who want to start a business, scale their operations or elevate their marketing.

Three days in the middle of the week — Nov. 15-17 — are expected to feature in-person, premiere events at Plexpod Westport at Park 39, 300 E 39th St. in Midtown.

“These three days are comprised of back-to-back content every hour so attendees can stay the entire day and find relevant information from morning to evening,” Carmona said.

In addition to networking opportunities, food, drink and even a pitch competition, GEWKC 2023 features business experts who can show those in our communities how to harness their pioneering spirit, improve their businesses and reach success, he added.

Additionally, space will be available at Plexpod for attendees who want to network or work.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is an international celebration that, for the past 16 years, has inspired millions of people to explore their potential as entrepreneurs and connect with their local entrepreneurship communities. Founded in Kansas City by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in 2008, the event has since expanded to more than 170 countries.
