A Kansas City production is returning to the Super Bowl Sunday as the official Spanish language broadcaster for both the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s Tico Sports’ third trip to the big game — but the first where the Latino-owned company will broadcast for both competing teams.

“We are incredibly thankful for our relationships with the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles,” said Cici Rojas, president of Tico Productions, the parent company of Tico Sports. “With the success of both teams, we are excited for the opportunity to provide an accessible, in-language broadcast for NFL fans across the globe.”

Founded by Rojas and Oscar Monterroso in 2016, Tico Sports has been providing Spanish broadcasting for the Chiefs since 2016, and the Eagles since 2019.

Known for its on-air personalities’ lively discussions and enthusiastic calls when covering professional and collegiate sports teams, the company has produced more than 100 NFL games across five different NFL teams this season alone — making it the busiest year in Tico Sports’ history.

Among the teams on their roster: Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders, San Jose Sharks, KU Athletics, K-State Athletics, Kansas City Athletics, and Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Tico Productions is a multi-lingual, full-service marketing agency in Kansas City. It specializes in cause-marketing, graphic design, video production, creative strategy, and social media. The parent company launched Tico Sports after recognizing the need for an in-language outlet that authentically showcases the excitement of the NFL to the Latino community, Rojas said.

“Ninety percent of Hispanics use digital audio platforms or services to stream radio, and 95 percent are reached weekly on AM/FM radio,” Tico Productions said, citing recent industry data.

Sunday’s game will be Tico Sports’ third Super Bowl calling for the Chiefs and its first covering the Eagles at the championship.

The Tico Sports Chiefs gameday crew includes Monterroso, co-founder and color commentator; Kike Morales, play by play, and Hannah Bassham, sideline reporter. The Eagles gameday crew consists of Rickie Ricardo, play by play; Oscar Budejen, color commentator; Bill Kulik, producer; and David Gerhardt, spotter.
