Tesseract deepens military ties with deal to develop smart space hub for US Air Force

Tesseract Ventures’ research and development partnership with the U.S. Air Force is reaching new altitudes with a just-announced contract to develop 21st century smart space technologies for MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.

Tesseract’s smart space tech — The Tesseract Smart Space LT — is a physical collaboration and data visualization hub that brings together information from every part of a mission or base for improved situational awareness, dynamic decision making, digital twins, and better operational control, according to the Overland Park-headquartered tech company.

Using radical software, touchscreens, augmented reality and next-generation data visualization, the Tesseract can reveal critical insights at a time when the military is challenged to analyze and visualize massive amounts of data. The Tesseract LT provides a completely multisensorial data environment for teams to collaborate with the assistance of multiple data streams.

Tesseract’s wide range of technology is created within four unique studios — Cyber Physical, Future Lab, Experiential Entertainment and Human Things. Each studio has its own discipline, from smart spaces, to robotics, software and hardware platforms — even tech-based toys.

Much of the team is focused on the Future Lab — “ where our inspiration and ideas become a reality,” according to Tesseract.
