Miracle on the Plaza

Guests wanting to drink in holiday nostalgia will need to be on the nice list this year, Rockhill Restaurant Group said, announcing the return of two popular holiday pop-up bars and the addition of a third location.

Miracle on the Plaza

The Cocktail Kingdom-crafted Miracle holiday pop-ups are expected to return on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. The sites include Miracle at Rockhill, located in the upper lounge of Rockhill Grille in the Crossroads Arts District; Miracle on the Plaza, poured in the space formerly occupied by The Oliver; and Miracle on 135th Street, which will unwrap in Leawood, housed in a former BRGR location shuttered amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re thrilled to bring back Kansas City’s original holiday pop-up bar for a third year in a row,” said Zach Marten, co-owner of Rockhill Restaurant Group.

“And we’re excited to move into Kansas for Miracle’s third Kansas City area location.”

As the global health crisis continues to upend traditional ways of doing business, Rockhill Restaurant Group said guests will be required to make reservations for the 2020 showing — ensuring safe and socially distant gathering. Previous incarnations of Miracle were known for their long lines of aspiring revelers waiting close together for an opportunity to get inside.

“Miracle is known for being an over-the-top experience. Now, we’re tripling the festive fun and holiday cheer,” he said in anticipation of the 2020 season, noting aside from the reservation requirement, guests can expect everything they’ve come to love from the popular pop-ups over the past three years.

Miracle’s sister concept — Sippin’ Santa — also returned Nov. 6 at Westport-bottled Julep Cocktail Club, the bar and lounge told Startland News.
