Women in Tech Breakfast at Union Station

Fashion Forward: Looking into the Past to Inform the Future
When: September 17 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Where: Kansas City Public Library – Plaza Branch
This afternoon will begin with a screening of ‘A Stitch in Time’, Terence O’Malley’s documentary about the city’s greatest fashion entrepreneur, Nell Donnelly Reed. O’Malley then joins a discussion with individuals who have worked in various Garment District capacities: Suzie Aron, Barbara Bloch, Murline Hayes, and Carl Puritz. Rightfully Sewn founder, Jennifer Lapka Pfeifer moderates. A reception follows. Co-presented by Missouri Bank.
The Power of Inventing: How to Invent, Protect, and Maximize your Creativity

A one-day symposium on developing creatively while protecting intellectual property assets. Featuring inventors who have been there, done that very successfully, and experts who know how to assist from idea to innovation.
