There are a boatload of entrepreneurial events hosted in Kansas City on a weekly basis. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, investor, supporter or curious Kansas Citian, we’d recommend these upcoming events for you.
WEEKLY EVENT PREVIEW
Second Fridays at Village Square
When: September 9 @ 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Where: Village Square Coworking Studio
Second Fridays is a casual, fun gathering for the startup community to connect on a monthly basis with no agenda except good times. We’ll provide games & cards (bags if it’s nice). This event is BYOB with a twist – bring a 6-pack of your favorite beer to share and we’re going to have a “beer potluck” cooler. We’ll ice down everyone’s beer and have quite the selection to choose from. Get to know someone over a brew!
Celebrate the Journey

Big Data Summit KC
When: September 14 @ 8:30 am – 4:45 pm
Where: National WWI Museum and Memorial
The Big Data Summit is Kansas City’s convergence of data, technology, analytics and science. For two days, a myriad of thought leaders and practitioners come together to share industry insights, trends, and technologies that are shaping the future of big data. Attendees are experts in the topics of data science, data analytics and visualization, business intelligence, technology, health care, education and more.
Women in Tech Breakfast
When: September 16 @ 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Where: Union Station
Thanks to Project Entrepreneur, Fenaroli & Associates, and Athena League – this networking event is designed to connect, celebrate and empower women from all corners of the tech industry. In addition to networking with other women in tech, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about Project Entrepreneur, a national initiative launched by Rend the Runway Foundation and UBS to equip women with the tools and knowledge they need to transform their business ideas into high-growth companies. Come and learn more about their Venture Competition for women who are looking to take their ideas to the next level!

Teams apply and complete to develop a new commercial product idea in a 48-hour invent-a-thon weekend. 48 hours to plan, prototype and pitch an idea for prizes and licensing potential.
