Crisis Communications in a Social Era

Second Fridays is a casual, fun gathering for the startup community to connect on a monthly basis with no agenda except good times. We’ll provide games & cards (bags if it’s nice). This event is BYOB with a twist – bring a 6-pack of your favorite beer to share and we’re going to have a “beer potluck” cooler. We’ll ice down everyone’s beer and have quite the selection to choose from. Get to know someone over a brew!

Coding and Cocktails September

Session Topic: Introduction to Node: Server-side javascript. Join us for our monthly coding series, Coding & Cocktails. Women are invited to attend sessions to get an introduction to website building in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. We’ll introduce you to Node, discuss why you would want to use it along with practice with support from our fantastic mentors!

The Power of Inventing

A one-day symposium on developing creatively while protecting intellectual property assets. Featuring Inventors who have been-there, done that very successfully, and experts who know how to assist from idea to innovation.

When: October 28 – 30
Where: Kansas City Art Institute
Teams apply and compete to develop a new commercial product idea in a 48 hour invent-a-thon weekend. 48 hours to plan, prototype and pitch an idea for prizes and licensing potential.
